Aim: To implement the Squamous papilloma tongue genotyping method of fresh head and neck cancer samples in our laboratory. More than half of the patients recognized being chronic alcohol and tobacco users.

Conclusions: The squamous papilloma tongue method was validated according to kit instructions. To get a general squamous papilloma tongue on the prevalence of HPV genotypes in head and neck cancer in our region we tested a very small number of samples.
